Job summary

Torchy’s Tacos in Gilbert, AL is seeking a Shift Leader to ensure smooth shifts, deliver Damn Good guest experiences, and balance hands-on work with guiding the team in FOH and BOH.

You will lead shifts, act as a key holder, delegate tasks, coach teammates, maintain food safety and cleanliness, manage inventory and cash, and uphold health and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a restaurant or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of food safety, guest service, and restaurant operations.
• Required state alcohol-server and Manager ServSafe certifications.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects up to 40 pounds and to stand or walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts with focus on guest experiences and operational excellence.
• Serve as key holder for opening and closing and securing the facility.
• Identify, prioritize, and delegate tasks to keep the restaurant running smoothly.
• Engage with guests to address concerns with urgency and care.
• Assist in hiring, training, and mentoring team members.
• Maintain FOH and BOH processes including food safety and cleanliness.
• Support inventory management and line checks to uphold food quality.
• Oversee cash management during opening and closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory checklists.
• Resolve issues promptly and adapt to evolving business needs.
