Job summary

Planet Fitness in the United States is seeking a Shift Leader to guide peers through daily operations and uphold our Judgement Free Zone. You will lead tasks, coach team members, and ensure a high-quality member experience with clear communication and proactive problem solving.

Daily duties include greeting members, assisting on the club floor, handling sign-ups and billing inquiries, promoting club policies, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards across the facility.

Qualifications

• 6-12 months of customer service experience preferred.
• Proven ability to lead others.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Willing to obtain CPR/AED certification (training provided by Planet Fitness).
• Basic computer proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests; assist with questions during check-in.
• Promote the Judgement Free Zone; connect with members on the club floor.
• Address member concerns and escalate to a Manager when needed.
• Answer phones politely and assist callers with inquiries.
• Perform membership-related tasks: sign-ups, updates, cancellations, payments, transfers.
• Conduct member tours and assess membership needs; drive sales goals.
• Execute retail transactions accurately and meet sales targets.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of equipment and facilities.
• Report maintenance or policy issues promptly.
