Job summary

WhiteWater Express in Sturgis, MI is seeking a Shift Leader to supervise daily operations, support a team, and ensure excellent customer service during busy periods.

Starting pay is $17–$19 per hour plus biweekly tips, with paid training and opportunities for advancement within a fast-growing, team-focused environment. This role keeps you active and on your feet while helping operations run smoothly.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old
• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required
• Previous leadership, retail, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred
• Must pass a background check

Responsibilities

• Support daily shift operations and assist with team oversight
• Ensure team members understand and complete their responsibilities
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer concerns
• Help customers choose wash packages and memberships
• Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance needs
• Assist with incident reports and operational documentation
• Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed
• Support store opening and closing procedures
• Maintain site cleanliness, organization, and wash quality

What You’ll Do (Fast-Paced & Active Role)

• Support daily shift operations and assist with team oversight

This is not a desk job. You’ll be on your feet, leading the team, supporting customers, and helping the operation run smoothly throughout the shift.

What We’re Looking For

• 18+ years old
• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required
• Previous leadership, retail, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active throughout the shift
• Available evenings and weekends
• Strong communication and team leadership skills
• Dependable, motivated, and customer-focused
• Ability to follow safety procedures and company policies
• Must pass a background check
