Job summary

Insomnia Cookies is opening a Sugar Land, TX store and is interviewing Shift Leaders to own the night. This role focuses on customer service, operations leadership, and team coaching in a fast-paced bakery environment.

You will supervise shift operations, manage the Cookie Crew, ensure guest satisfaction, handle cash, and uphold safety and quality standards. Must be 18+, able to lift 40 lbs, and have 1+ year of customer service experience.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• POS systems experience.
• Excellent communication, time management and people skills.
• Outgoing, friendly, and patient demeanor.
• Detail-oriented with a results-driven mindset.
• Ability to lead by example and motivate others.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Legal to work in the United States; must be 18 or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and quality products to guests.
• Support store leadership by maintaining shift operations and training staff.
• Prioritize and delegate tasks for baking, cashiering, packaging, and cleaning.
• Lead and motivate the Cookie Crew.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow safe food handling practices.
• Manage cash handling and deposits.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Insomnia Cookies is one of the fastest growing, late‑night, sweet indulgence companies in the country, and we are set to open our newest store in Sugar Land, TX. At the present time, we are actively interviewing Shift Leaders for our store located at 2270 Lone Star Dr, Sugar Land, TX 77479.

As a Shift Leader, you are the captain of our bakery day or night! You understand what it takes to “Own the Night” (and beyond), by predicting the flow of business during a successful shift. Your hands‑on leadership style should not only include building orders, suggestive selling, baking, and interacting with customers – it will also mean taking pride in knowing that your prowess as a leading Insomniac attributes to a productive and fun night for your store!

What Will I Do as a Shift Leader?

• Provide incredible customer service and quality products to all of our guests throughout their experience within our bakeries
• Support store leadership by maintaining operations during your shift, communicating pertinent information, monitoring production efficiency, holding the team accountable to company standards and procedures, and assisting in the training and coaching of team members
• Prioritize and delegate tasks for baking, cashiering, packaging, and cleaning while leading the cookie crew team
• Support and work alongside the Cookie Crew
• Provide a safe, clean, working environment for our guests and staff and adhere to safe food handling practices
• Manage cash handling and deposits
• Other duties as assigned

Desired Skills / Experience

• At least 1 year of working experience in a customer service focused role
• Point of Sales systems experience
• Outstanding communication, time management, and people skills
