Choolaah Indian BBQ in King of Prussia, PA is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee daily operations in the absence of the GM and Assistant Manager. You will supervise Team Members, ensure food prep and delivery meet standards, and maintain guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include training, scheduling, cleanliness, cash handling, and supporting store openings and closings. Candidates should be 18+, with 1–2 years of supervisory experience and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• 1–2 years of supervisory experience in food service preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while standing for up to 8 hours and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Achieve mastery in guest ambassador, BBQ, bread, line, and prep.
• Maintain fast, accurate service and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Lead Team Members and direct daily restaurant operations.
• Open and close the store, supervise breaks and shift changes.
• Ensure cleanliness, neatness, and adherence to standards.
• Handle cash with accuracy and manage deposits.
• Support and train team members; coach new staff.
• Provide friendly, expeditious guest service.
• Complete any other duties as assigned.

Shift Leaders are trained to perform all the duties performed by the Team Members, with additional responsibility for directing the daily operations of a restaurant in the Restaurant General Manager's and Assistant Manager's absence, ensuring compliance with company standards in all areas of operation including product preparation and delivery, customer relations, restaurant maintenance, team management and other duties as required or assigned.

Responsibilities

• Achieving Mastery in all areas including- Guest Ambassador, BBQ, Bread, Line, and prep.
• Maintains fast & accurate service, ensures excellent guest experience, and makes sure all products are consistent with Choolaah’s standards.
• Leads Team Members and directs daily operations of the restaurant including supervising and training employees, opening, and closing the store, ensuring all food preparation is complete, managing employee breaks and shift changes, and completing minor admin duties.
• Makes sure the restaurant is up to Choolaah’s standards with regards to cleanliness, neatness, and guest satisfaction.
• Uses the company cash register accurately and maintains proper control of company assets. Makes accurate deposits.
• Works as a team player to support other employees in completing their tasks.
• Motivates and coaches Team Members and assists in the training of new Team Members.
• Offers friendly and expeditious guest service.
• Completes all other duties assigned as necessary.
