Job summary

Choolaah Indian BBQ in Beachwood, OH is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee daily operations in the absence of management. You will supervise Team Members, ensure fast service, and uphold Choolaah standards in food prep, guest relations, and cleanliness.

This role emphasizes training, coaching, and opening/closing procedures, with a focus on guest satisfaction and asset control. The position offers competitive hourly pay, tips, and benefit opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• 1-2 years of supervisory experience in food service preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong problem solving and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while being on your feet for up to 8 hours; lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Achieving Mastery in all areas including Guest Ambassador, BBQ, Bread, Line, and prep.
• Maintains fast & accurate service, ensures excellent guest experience, and ensures product consistency with Choolaah standards.
• Leads Team Members and directs daily operations including supervising and training employees, opening/closing the store, managing breaks and shift changes, and completing minor admin duties.
• Ensures restaurant cleanliness, neatness, and guest satisfaction per standards.
• Uses the cash register accurately and maintains proper asset control and deposits.
• Works as a team player to support other employees in completing tasks.
• Motivates and coaches Team Members and assists in training new Team Members.
• Offers friendly and expeditious guest service.
• Completes all other duties as necessary.
