Job summary

Choolaah Indian BBQ in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee daily operations in our new location opening this Summer. You will supervise team members, ensure food prep quality, and maintain guest satisfaction while upholding company standards.

Responsibilities include directing daily operations in absence of GMs, training staff, managing breaks, handling cash deposits, and delivering friendly service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• 1–2 years of supervisory experience in food service preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Fast-paced environment; stand 8 hours; able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Achieve mastery in all areas including- Guest Ambassador, BBQ, Bread, Line, and prep.
• Maintains fast & accurate service, ensures excellent guest experience, and makes sure all products are consistent with Choolaah's standards.
• Leads Team Members and directs daily operations of the restaurant including supervising and training employees, opening, and closing the store, ensuring all food preparation is complete, managing employee breaks and shift changes, and completing minor admin duties.
• Makes sure the restaurant is up to Choolaah's standards with regards to cleanliness, neatness, and guest satisfaction.
• Uses the company cash register accurately and maintains proper control of company assets. Makes accurate deposits.
• W orks as a team player to support other employees in completing their tasks.
• Motivates and coaches Team Members and assists in the training of new Team Members.
• Offers friendly and expeditious guest service.
• Completes all other duties assigned as necessary.

New Location set to open this Summer in the Cleveland Clinic. We are currently training at our Ohio City and Beachwood locations.

Shift Leaders are trained to perform all the duties performed by the Team Members, with additional responsibility for directing the daily operations of a restaurant in the Restaurant General Manager's and Assistant Manager's absence, ensuring compliance with company standards in all areas of operation including product preparation and delivery, customer relations, restaurant maintenance, team management and other duties as required or assigned.
