Qualifications

A Shift Leader is responsible for supporting the management team in the execution of running their assigned location. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Coaching staff to deliver excellent customer service
  • Producing high-quality food
  • Delivering the Jersey Mike's experience
  • Cash handling
  • Following the Learning Management System Training Program
  • Developing others for career growth
  • Enforcing policies and procedures
  • Participating in marketing initiatives
  • Building sales
  • Maintaining cleanliness and proper sanitation
  • Being certified in all four restaurant positions
  • Effective communication
  • Having a sense of urgency

A Shift Leader is expected to:

  • Move or transport up to 50 lbs without assistance, unless a medical notation or a temporary doctor's note specifies otherwise
  • Work 38-40 hours per week
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Communicate with management regarding any issues
  • Lead by example in quality, interaction, customer service, and appearance
  • Create food consistent with Jersey Mike's standards
  • Maintain a clean restaurant environment
  • Work in a fast-paced, team-driven atmosphere
  • Multitask effectively and work with urgency
  • Interface with customers to provide an exceptional experience
  • Understand accountability and integrity
  • Serve as Key Holder
  • Perform opening and closing tasks
  • Know how to bake bread and perform all prep tasks
  • Manage and lead a crew of 2-5 people
  • Proficient in slicing

Qualifications for the job:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year QSR experience preferred
  • Must be 18+ to operate slicer
  • Serve Safe Certification - Food Handler
  • Reliable transportation
