Job summary

Five Guys Burgers and Fries in Delaware is seeking an Immediate Shift Leader to oversee a crew of up to 10 Team Members, ensure quality and food safety, and keep operations running smoothly during peak hours.

You will delegate tasks, manage cash handling, and uphold health inspection standards while providing on-the-job training and maintaining a positive, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a restaurant team in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of food safety and quality controls.
• Strong communication and delegation skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper quality of food and service (QC).
• Enforce proper food safety and handling by the Team.
• Communicate with the Team in an efficient and proper manner.
• Identify and deal with current and potential problems.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness during both peak and non-peak hours.
• Proper delegation of tasks pertaining to all of the above.
• Be aware of how Secret Shops, Health Inspections, and Steritech are conducted.
• Cash management/handling.
• Shift Management (overseeing a crew of up to 10 Team Members).

As well as being proficient in all areas of the restaurant, the Shift Leader is also responsible for but to limited to:

• 1. Ensuring proper quality (Quality Control or QC) of food and service
• 2.Ensuring the practice of proper food safety and handling by the Team
• 3.Communication with the Team in an efficient and proper manner
• 4.Identifying and dealing with current and potential problems
• 5.Maintaining organization and cleanliness during both peak andnon peak hours of business
• 6.Proper delegation of tasks pertaining to all of the above
• 7. Being full aware of how Secret Shops, Health Inspections, and Steritech are conducted
• 8. Cash management/handling
• 9. Shift Management (Overseeing a crew of up to 10 Team Members)
