Job summary

Five Guys Burgers and Fries is seeking an Immediate Shift Leader to oversee quality, safety, and service during peak hours. You will lead a team of up to 10 members, delegate tasks, and ensure cleanliness and cash handling compliance in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, adherence to health standards, and effective communication with staff to deliver a consistently great guest experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in coordinating restaurant operations.
• Understanding of food safety and quality standards.
• Strong communication with team and customers as needed.
• Ability to handle peak times and maintain service quality.
• Proven problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Organizational skills for multi-tasking and cleanliness.
• Experience delegating tasks to shift crew members.
• Awareness of health inspections and related protocols.
• Experience handling cash and transactions.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring proper quality (Quality Control or QC) of food and service
• Ensuring the practice of proper food safety and handling by the Team
• Communication with the Team in an efficient and proper manner
• Identifying and dealing with current and potential problems
• Maintaining organization and cleanliness during both peak and non-peak hours of business
• Proper delegation of tasks pertaining to all of the above
• Being fully aware of how Secret Shops, Health Inspections, and Steritech are conducted
• Cash management/handling
• Shift Management (Overseeing a crew of up to 10 Team Members)
