Velvet Taco in Dallas is seeking an enthusiastic leader to manage Hourly Team Members and ensure a stellar guest experience. You will be responsible for executing daily operational duties, handling guest interactions professionally, and maintaining high food safety standards.

As a role model, you will motivate the team and ensure compliance with procedures to create a positive environment. Strong candidates will thrive in a fast-paced restaurant setting and embrace feedback for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage and motivate a team while ensuring a great guest experience.
• Experience in the food industry preferred.
• Comfortable in various culinary and hospitality roles.

Responsibilities

• Manages the Hourly Team Members and interacts with Guests in a friendly, professional, and responsive way.
• Executes opening, mid, and closing duties daily following Velvet Taco’s standard procedures and recipe guidelines.
• Skilled at handling Guest concerns and guiding them toward a positive resolution.
• Adept at cash‑handling, setting up POS drawers, performing comps and voids, and managing deposits during the shift.
• Presents self as a leader among the Team Members and motivates others to follow procedures, work with a sense of urgency, and ensure a positive Guest experience.
• Skilled at de‑escalating issues between Team Members, making everyone feel heard.
• Supports Management with the inventory process.
• Always keeps food safety a high priority during the shift by performing line checks, checking shelf storage and expiration dates for prepped food, and keeping the restaurant clean and in order.
• Manages the daily prep list and signs off on all prepped items to ensure adherence to our specifications and flavor profiles.
• It is a role model when it comes to maintaining an environment that is safe for our Team Members & Guests by enforcing the use of cut gloves, keeping floors clean and dry, and removing any obstacles that may prevent a work or dining space.
• Communicates and delivers a friendly, welcoming, exceptional guest experience.
• Embraces feedback, is eager to learn, and takes accountability for their actions.
• Proficient in a fast‑paced environment and manages time effectively.
• Is comfortable in all areas of the restaurant as it relates to culinary, hospitality, and Guest interaction.
