Job summary

Velvet Taco is seeking a team member to help lead our hourly staff at the Georgetown, TX location. You will greet guests, uphold our standard procedures and recipes, and assist with opening, mid, and closing duties to ensure a smooth shift.

Responsibilities include cash handling, POS setup, and ensuring a positive guest experience while maintaining food safety and cleanliness in a fast-paced setting. If you’re energetic and reliable, you’ll fit well with our team at Velvet Taco.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Ability to open/close shifts and manage POS.
• Demonstrated leadership in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage hourly team members and interact with guests in a friendly, professional manner.
• Execute opening, mid, and closing duties daily following procedures and recipes.
• Handle guest concerns and guide to positive resolutions.
• Perform cash handling, set up POS drawers, run comps and voids, and manage deposits.
• Motivate team members to follow procedures and maintain a positive guest experience.
• De-escalate conflicts between team members and ensure everyone is heard.
• Support management with inventory processes.
• Prioritize food safety with line checks, shelf storage, and date checks.

Job

• Manages the Hourly Team Members and interacts with Guests in a friendly, professional, and responsive way.
• Executes opening, mid, and closing duties daily following Velvet Taco’s standard procedures and recipe guidelines.
• Skilled at handling Guest concerns and guiding them toward a positive resolution.
• Adept at cash-handling, setting up POS drawers, performing comps and voids, and managing deposits during the shift.
• Presents self as a leader among the Team Members and one that motivates others to follow procedures, work with a sense of urgency, and ensure a positive Guest experience.
• Skilled at de-escalating issues between Team Members, making everyone feel heard.
• Supports Management with the inventory process.
• Always keeps food safety a high priority during the shift by performing line checks, checking shelf storage and expiration dates for prepped food, and keeping the restaurant clean and in order.
• Manages the daily prep list and signs off on all prepped items to ensure adherence to our specifications and flavor profiles.
• It is a role model when it comes to maintaining an environment that is safe for our Team Members & Guests by enforcing the use of cut gloves, keeping floors clean and dry, and removing any obstacles that may prevent a work or dining space.
• Communicates and delivers a friendly, welcoming, exceptional guest experience.
• Embraces feedback, is eager to learn, and takes accountability for their actions.
• Proficient in a fast-paced environment and manages time effectively.
