Job summary

Velvet Taco in Atlanta, GA is hiring immediate AM/PM team members to deliver an exceptional guest experience. This hourly role involves welcoming guests, following standard procedures, and managing daily opening/closing duties with urgency and a friendly attitude.

You will handle cash, operate POS, resolve guest concerns, and assist with inventory while keeping food safety a top priority. Join a culture that celebrates you being you.

Responsibilities

• Manages the Hourly Team Members and interacts with guests in a friendly, professional, and responsive way.
• Executes opening, mid, and closing duties daily following Velvet Taco’s standard procedures and recipe guidelines.
• Skilled at handling guest concerns and guiding them toward a positive resolution.
• Adept at cash‑handling, setting up POS drawers, performing comps and voids, and managing deposits during the shift.
• Presents self as a leader among the Team Members and motivates others to follow procedures, work with a sense of urgency, and ensure a positive guest experience.
• Skilled at de‑escalating issues between Team Members, making everyone feel heard.
• Supports management with the inventory process.
• Always keeps food safety a high priority during the shift by performing line checks, checking shelf storage and expiration dates for prepped food, and keeping the restaurant clean and in order.
• Manages the daily prep list and signs off on all prepped items to ensure adherence to our specifications and flavor profiles.
• Role models maintaining an environment that is safe for our Team Members and guests by enforcing the use of cut gloves, keeping floors clean and dry, and removing any obstacles that may prevent a safe work or dining space.
• Communicates and delivers a friendly, welcoming, exceptional guest experience.
• Embraces feedback, is eager to learn, and takes accountability for their actions.
• Proficient in a fast‑paced environment and manages time effectively.
• Is comfortable in all areas of the restaurant as it relates to culinary, hospitality, and guest interaction.
