Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospitals is seeking a Shift Lead to provide leadership and veterinary support on site. The role blends paraprofessional duties with operational leadership across shifts to ensure high quality pet care and client service.

You will work with Practice Manager and COS to communicate effectively with clients and staff, while maintaining safety, cleanliness and efficiency in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or veterinary technician certification preferred and/or a related credential.
• Two years experience in healthcare, veterinary or service industries preferred.
• Ability to multi-task in a busy hospital environment with strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support paraprofessional staff on shift to ensure quality care.
• Recruit new clients and promote hospital services to maximize productivity.
• Coordinate client flow to ensure efficient service and patient safety.
• Assist with surgical prep and routine clinical duties as allowed by state practice acts.
• Maintain accurate medical records and uphold Banfield policies and safety standards.
