Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospitals is seeking a Shift Lead to provide leadership on the floor and perform paraprofessional duties across shifts. You will recruit clients, promote preventive care, and ensure smooth client flow while supporting hospital leadership and maintaining high standards of pet care.

The role blends leadership with hands-on paraprofessional work, requiring strong communication, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols in a fast-paced veterinary setting.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or veterinary technician certification/licensure preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Two years experience (healthcare, veterinary, or service industry) required.

Responsibilities

• Lead paraprofessional staff and coordinate duties across shifts.
• Act as CSC or veterinary assistant/technician delivering high-quality care.
• Recruit clients and promote hospital services to support growth and wellness plans.
• Manage client flow, appointments, and documentation to ensure smooth operations.
• Support Practice Manager in staffing and daily supervision.
• Maintain safety, clean facilities, and proper equipment readiness.
