Job summary

Save A Lot is seeking a Shift Lead to direct daily store operations during assigned shifts. You will supervise team members, ensure opening/closing procedures, and deliver excellent customer service while maintaining store standards.

The role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to handle cash and ensure safety. You will support store management, train staff, resolve customer issues, and help manage inventory and vendor relations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to train and mentor team members.
• Strong math skills and cash-handling awareness.
• Reading, writing and speaking English proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store according to procedures.
• Direct daily activities of full-time/part-time staff across departments.
• Provide friendly, courteous customer service and resolve complaints.
• Document issues and follow up to fix root causes.
• Perform front-end cash-handling duties and till reconciliation.
• Complete store reports and escalate issues to management.
• Assist with cashiering and stocking as needed.
• Escalate disciplinary or performance concerns to Store/ District Manager.
• Coordinate with vendors and receive deliveries.
• Stock and rotate produce, meat, dairy and other items.
• Ensure health, safety and sanitation compliance.
• Handle emergencies and loss-prevention procedures.
• Protect store property and funds; ensure security during shifts.
• Provide coverage in other departments as required.
