Job summary

Save A Lot in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Shift Lead to direct daily activities of store team members during assigned shifts. You will open and close the store, supervise team members across departments, and ensure excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include handling cash procedures, resolving customer issues, stocking, reporting to the Store Manager, and maintaining health, safety, and sanitation standards. 18+ and HS diploma required; Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency in basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Must be able to read, write and speak in English.
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Spanish language proficiency or other languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store according to established procedures.
• Directs and monitors day-to-day activities of full time/part time store team members in all departments.
• Communicates with customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Resolves customer complaints, including exchanges and refunds.
• Documents complaints and follows up to correct the source of the issue.
• Conducts cash handling procedures and till verification.
• Completes electronic store reports and reports results to Store Manager.
• Performs cashier and stocking duties when necessary.
• Escalates employee issues to Store Manager or District Manager.
• Responds to vendors and incoming deliveries.
• Stocks inventory across departments and checks item dates.
• Ensures health and safety compliance and sanitation standards.
• Acts as first contact for media and regulatory visitors.
• May participate in panel interviewing; no hiring authority.
