Job summary

Save-A-Lot is seeking a Store Associate to support store operations, cashier duties, stocking, and customer service. You will ensure store conditions meet company standards and assist in maintaining daily operations in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities include opening/closing, handling cash procedures, resolving customer issues, and maintaining health and safety standards while working with store leadership to deliver excellent service.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Comprehensive product knowledge and the ability to train other team members.
• Previous training / supervisory experience a plus.
• Proficiency in basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Must be able to read, write and speak in English.
• Spanish language ability is a plus.
• Must be dependable and flexible.
• Ability to travel to multiple work locations.
• Excellent customer service, teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store according to established procedures.
• Direct and monitor the day-to-day activities of full-time/part-time store team members.
• Communicate with customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Resolve customer complaints, including exchanges and refunds.
• Document complaints and take follow-up steps to correct the source of the complaint.
• Perform cashier duties when necessary.
• Stock within all departments.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and sanitation.
• Assist with media or regulatory inquiries as needed.
