Job summary

Save-A-Lot, Ltd. is seeking a Shift Lead to direct daily activities of store team members and manage opening/closing procedures. The role emphasizes protecting store property, monitoring performance, and delivering excellent customer service.

The Shift Lead will support store management, handle cash procedures, resolve customer issues, and may participate in interview processes without hiring authority. Flexibility and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency in basic math skills required, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Must be able to read, write and speak in English.
• Spanish or other language proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store according to established procedures.
• Direct and monitor day-to-day activities of full time/part time store team members in all departments.
• Communicate with customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Resolve customer complaints, including exchanges and refunds.
• Document complaints and take follow-up steps to correct the source of the complaint.
• Perform cash handling procedures and till preparation including cash drops and sale of/gift cards.
• Complete electronic store reports and report results to Store Manager.
• Perform cashier and stocking duties when necessary.
