Job summary

Walgreens in Gig Harbor is seeking a dedicated team member to help operate the store when management is unavailable. You will open/close the store, handle cash duties, and ensure the floor and stock room are ready for business.

You will deliver an engaging customer experience and assist with vendor deliveries and inventory control. The role requires at least one year of leadership or supervisory experience, fluent English, and any required pharmacy certification per state.

Qualifications

• One year of leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder experience.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Obtains and maintains valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes the store in the absence of store management and handles required systems start-up and cash handling.
• Completes product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provides change to registers.
• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Greets customers and assists with products and services; resolves issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Holds store keys to open/close without management; assists with vendor deliveries and backdoor access.
• Registers all sales, records scanning errors, price verifications, and voids; monitors pricing accuracy.
• Maintains inventory accuracy and stock rotation; supports display resets and product placement.
• Ensures compliance with laws on regulated products; performs bag checks and housekeeping duties.
