The role focuses on customer service, cleanliness, quality, and speed of service, while hands-on working to train staff and model best practices. The shift leader may close the restaurant or open when necessary, ensuring safe food handling and consistent guest satisfaction across all shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old or older.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months in a shift management or supervisory role, preferably in a service related business.
• Legal right to work in the United States.
• Ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a friendly demeanor and accurately take their orders.
• Prepare and package food and drink products according to restaurant standards.
• Operate cash registers, process payments, and provide change to guests.
• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the restaurant including back of house, lobby, and restrooms.
• Assist with food prep and dishwashing as needed.
• Restock inventory and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and policies.
• Promote new menu items and provide recommendations when asked.
• Assist with opening and closing tasks.
• Manage shifts to ensure fair employee treatment and compliance with workplace laws and regulations.
• Offers ongoing coaching and feedback to team members.
