Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in running the drive-in's operations, training staff, and ensuring a clean, safe, and enjoyable guest experience.

You will lead and coach team members, manage shifts, monitor inventory and costs, perform opening/closing duties, and uphold Sonic's standards and policies while delivering friendly, fast service.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of the restaurant industry or retail operations
• Minimum of six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year entry level retail management experience
• Effective communication skills; basic math, reading and computer skills
• Ability to follow directions and work with autonomy once given directions; ability to multi-task and solve problems
• Willingness to abide by appearance, uniform and hygiene standards at Sonic

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Team/Crew Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops
• Directs and assigns drive-in restaurant employees to meet operational standards
• Monitors and enforces compliance with employee handbook, policies and practices
• Performs opening and/or closing duties
• Monitors staffing levels, inventory levels and food cost control
• Completes weekly inventory as needed
• Assists in administrative duties and documentation
• Maintains a customer service focus and responds to guest requests
• Reports guest complaints to supervisor and assists in resolution
