Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to help lead operations and staff during a shift. You will train and direct crew, manage drive-in operations, and ensure an exceptional guest experience while controlling costs and maintaining standards.

The role requires managing staffing, opening/closing duties, and resolving guest or employee concerns. Knowledge of labor laws and safety regulations is essential, with strong communication and leadership skills expected.

Qualifications

• Experience: At least six months in restaurant management or one year in retail management.
• Experience running a restaurant shift without supervision.
• Knowledge of labor laws (federal, state, local) and health and safety regulations.
• Basic computer, math, and reading skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication; problem-solving and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Train, manage, direct, coach, lead, and assign employees during shift.
• Lead drive-in operations during shift to ensure optimal guest experience.
• Manage staffing levels and perform opening/closing duties.
• Handle guest and employee issues; maintain cost-control and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws; perform sanitation duties.
