Job summary

Madison Reed’s Hair Color Bar seeks a Shift Lead who ensures an outstanding guest experience from arrival to departure, manages the appointment flow, and upholds service quality with the team.

As a keyholder and manager‑on‑duty when the manager is out, the role supports operations, mentors team members, and promotes products and values.

This full‑time position requires weekend availability and offers compensation consisting of base pay, commissions and tips.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state of application.
• 1+ year of experience as a colorist behind the chair.
• 1+ year of leadership in a customer-facing environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving in a fast-paced retail/salon.
• Comfortable operating point of sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and develop leadership to provide top-tier guest experience.
• Lead by example with sales and service behaviors and resolve guest issues.
• Support front and back of house operations and assist guests with retail orders.
• Provide consultations and all services on the menu.
• Step in as manager-on-duty to foster a positive team culture.
• Help achieve monthly sales goals and key performance indicators.
