Job summary

Madison Reed Shift Lead position at our Hair Color Bar seeks a licensed cosmetologist to guide guest experiences from arrival to departure and ensure service quality with the team.

You’ll be a keyholder, leading by example, coaching staff, and building business acumen toward becoming the next Manager, while supporting managers during peak times.

Compensation includes base hourly pay, commissions, and tips, with a pay range of $43–$45 per hour for this location.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state you are applying.
• At least 1 year as a colorist behind the chair in a salon.
• At least 1 year of leadership in a customer-facing environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable operating point-of-sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop leadership to provide top-tier guest experience aligned with values.
• Lead by example in sales and service, resolving issues with guests.
• Support front of house and back of house operations with SOPs.
• Assist guests with retail orders and consultations on services.
• Step in as manager-on-duty to foster teamwork and coaching.
• Contribute to monthly sales goals and KPIs (retail/services).
• Ensure Hair Color Bar meets merchandising and asset standards.
• Master Madison Reed systems, policies, processes, and procedures.
• Coach staff to enhance team culture and guest satisfaction.
• Grow through ongoing training and product knowledge.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, performance management and training.
