Job summary

Madison Reed in Reston, VA, is seeking a Shift Lead, Licensed Cosmetologist to help drive guest satisfaction and salon performance. You will lead a team, guide service delivery, and act as manager-on-duty to support operational goals and brand standards.

You will be involved in consultations, services on the menu, and coaching colleagues to grow their skills while promoting MR products and services. This is a full-time on-site role with weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state you apply.
• 1+ year of hair colorist experience behind the chair.
• 1+ year of leadership experience in a customer-facing environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable operating point-of-sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team to deliver top guest experiences.
• Assist with scheduling, guest communication, and service quality.
• Act as manager-on-duty when the manager is unavailable.
• Support achieving monthly sales goals including retail and services.
• Ensure merchandising, inventory, and asset security are maintained.
