Job summary

Madison Reed is seeking a Shift Lead, Licensed Cosmetologist to champion guest experience from arrival to departure. You will manage appointment flow, communicate with guests, and ensure service quality across the team, while supporting the Manager with daily operations and staff coaching.

Responsibilities include leading by example, achieving sales goals, and demonstrating mastery of Madison Reed systems and procedures.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the applying state.
• 1+ year as a colorist behind the chair in a salon.
• 1+ year of leadership experience in a customer-facing environment.
• Effective communication and problem-solving in fast-paced retail/salon.
• Fluency in English and ability to operate POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop leadership skills to provide top-tier guest experiences aligned with company values.
• Lead by example with sales and service behaviors and resolve guest issues.
• Support front-of-house and back-of-house operations and assist guests with retail orders.
• Provide consultations and all services on the menu, including chemical services.
• Step in as manager-on-duty to foster a positive team culture and coach staff.
