Madison Reed is seeking a Shift Lead, Licensed Cosmetologist to guide a Hair Color Bar team and ensure an exceptional guest experience from arrival to departure. You will manage appointment flow, communicate with guests, and uphold service quality while supporting the Manager in daily operations.

This full-time role requires weekend and holiday availability, with compensation comprising base hourly pay, commissions, and tips. Earnings range from $45-$47 per hour based on performance and tenure.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state you are applying.
• 1+ year of colorist behind the chair in a salon.
• 1+ year of leadership experience in a customer-facing environment.
• Effective communication, problem solving, and people skills in a fast-paced retail or salon.
• Comfortable operating point of sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example to provide a top-tier employee and guest experience.
• Demonstrate sales and service behaviors in all interactions and resolve issues.
• Support front of house and back of house operations and assist guests with retail orders.
• Provide consultations and all menu services (color services, shampooing, styling).
• Step in as manager-on-duty to foster teamwork and coaching.
• Contribute to monthly sales goals and KPIs (retail, services, memberships).
• Ensure brand standards for merchandising and inventory.
• Coach and develop team members and stay updated on MR products.
