Madison Reed in Reston is seeking a Shift Lead, Licensed Cosmetologist who will guide guest experiences from arrival to departure, manage the appointment schedule, and uphold service quality with the team.

As a keyholder, you’ll be manager-on-duty when the manager is out, help recruit and coach staff, drive monthly sales, and stay current on MR products. This full-time role requires weekend availability and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state of application.
• 1+ year of experience as a colorist behind the chair in a salon.
• 1+ year of leadership experience in a customer-facing environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced retail/salon setting.
• Comfortable operating point-of-sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop leadership to deliver top-tier guest experience aligned with our values.
• Lead by example in sales and service and resolve guest issues.
• Support both front- and back-house operations and POS use.
• Provide consultations and all services on the menu.
• Coach and develop team members and participate in training.
• Grow within Madison Reed through ongoing training and product knowledge.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and performance management.
