Job summary

Madison Reed is seeking a Shift Lead for our Hair Color Bar in Reston, VA to lead guest interactions, manage the appointment flow, and uphold service quality. You will collaborate with the Manager to drive growth, promote MR products, and model our values.

The role is full-time with weekend and peak-time availability and you will act as a keyholder when the manager is out. You will be developing business acumen, coaching the team, and supporting recruiting and onboarding as needed while growing

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the state where applying.
• 1+ year of experience as a colorist behind the chair.
• 1+ year of leadership experience in a customer-facing environment.
• Effective communication, strong problem solving and people skills.
• Comfortable operating point of sale systems.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and continue to develop leadership skills to provide a top tier guest experience.
• Lead by example in sales and service behaviors in interactions with guests, including resolving guest service issues.
• Support front of house and back of house operations and adhere to SOPs.
• Provide consultations & all services offered on the menu.
• Step in as the manager-on-duty to foster a positive, collaborative culture.
• Contribute to achieving monthly sales goals and KPIs.
• Ensure the Hair Color Bar meets merchandising and inventory standards.
• Demonstrate mastery of Madison Reed systems and processes.
• Coach and develop team members toward high performance.
• Grow within Madison Reed through ongoing training and product knowledge.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and training as needed.
