Job summary

Madison Reed is seeking a Shift Lead, Licensed Cosmetologist, to guide guest experiences from arrival to departure and lead the team on the floor. This role balances service quality with sales and brand values in a fast-paced Hair Color Bar setting.

As a keyholder, you may serve as manager-on-duty, driving coaching, development, and adherence to company standards. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Active cosmetology license in the applying state.
• 1+ year experience as a colorist behind the chair in a salon.
• 1+ year leadership experience in a customer-facing environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced retail/salon setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example to deliver top-tier guest experiences.
• Drive sales and services through strong guest interactions and issue resolution.
• Support front-of-house and back-of-house operations per SOPs.
• Assist guests with retail orders and consultations on the service menu.
• Provide all services on the menu, including shampooing, styling, and chemical services.
• Step in as manager-on-duty when needed to foster a positive team culture.
• Help achieve monthly sales goals and KPIs like retail and memberships.
• Maintain merchandising standards and protect company assets.
• Demonstrate mastery of Madison Reed systems, policies, and procedures.
• Coach team members to optimize performance and guest satisfaction.
• Participate in ongoing training and stay updated on MR products and services.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and performance coaching as needed.
