Job summary

Blank Street in New York is seeking a Shift Lead to energize our cafe floor, guide a small team, and ensure smooth operations during busy shifts. You’ll craft beautiful coffee and matcha drinks, deliver warm hospitality, and model our brand values.

You’ll train new hires, help with opening and closing duties, resolve customer issues, and drive foot traffic and sales while maintaining top-quality service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in a customer service leadership position (e.g. Shift Leader, Shift Supervisor, Key Holder) in hospitality, coffee, or beverage.
• 18+ years of age.
• Able to lift 25+ lbs and stand for long periods.
• Full Time: 30-40 hours per week, 4-5 days per week with 2 peak days (Fri–Sun).
• Weekend and holiday availability preferred.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify) upon offer.

Responsibilities

• Craft beautiful coffee and matcha drinks.
• Provide exceptional hospitality to Blank Street customers.
• Train new employees to succeed and ensure recipes and processes are followed.
• Open and close the store safely with checklists.
• Handle and resolve customer issues.
• Lead and support initiatives to increase foot traffic, sales, and profitability.
