Job summary

Blank Street in Boston is seeking a Shift Lead to oversee daily cafe operations, lead the floor team, and uphold exceptional hospitality. You will craft coffee and matcha, train new staff, and ensure smooth service on busy shifts.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in a customer-service leadership role, are 18+, can lift 25+ lbs, and can commit to 30–40 hours per week with 2 peak days (Fri–Sun). This is an on-site role in a fast-paced cafe environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a customer service leadership position (e.g. Shift Leader, Shift Supervisor, Key Holder) in hospitality, coffee, or beverage.
• 18+ years of age.
• Able to lift 25+ lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Craft beautiful coffee and matcha products.
• Provide exceptional hospitality to customers.
• Train new employees and ensure adherence to recipes and processes.
• Open and close the store safely and with checklists.
• Handle and resolve customer issues.
• Lead initiatives to increase foot traffic, daily sales, and profitability.
