Job summary

Firehouse Subs is seeking a Shift Leader to join our team in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. You will support the General Manager by guiding daily operations, coordinating staff, and ensuring accurate cash handling and menu execution.

You’ll lead by example, train teammates, uphold food safety standards, and deliver a friendly, memorable experience to every guest during all shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food service management or supervising roles.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation and kitchen management.
• Familiarity with POS systems for accurate cash handling.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations during your shift to ensure fast, friendly service.
• Lead and motivate team members; provide guidance, training and support.
• Manage cash handling and operate POS systems.
• Control inventory and minimize waste to reduce costs.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met.
• Assist with staffing, interviews, and ongoing training initiatives.
• Address customer inquiries promptly and maintain high satisfaction.
• Foster teamwork and adhere to safety guidelines.
• Deliver exceptional customer and store experiences.
• Greet customers with a smile and eye contact.
• Execute quality store operations.
