Job summary

Dairy Queen is seeking an experienced shift leader to help run a high-volume store in Illinois. You will assist the GM with operations, training, and business planning to optimize sales, inventory, and labor while delivering exceptional Fan service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-3 years of high volume restaurant leadership experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Proven track record of effectively managing COGS and labor.
• Strong knowledge and application of safe food handling practices.
• Must be ServSafe certifiable.

Responsibilities

• Manage entire operation of restaurant during scheduled shifts, meeting quality, service and atmosphere expectations; handle inventory, cash, and product orders.
• Ensure shift leads and crew are trained on PRIDE systems, recipes, food safety and restaurant safety.
• Assist in executing the restaurant’s business plan, analyze COGS, adjust inventory and labor for P&L impact.
• Maintain Fan service standards and address customer concerns to turn dissatisfied customers into return fans.
• Help GM hire, train, coach and develop staff; provide ongoing feedback and schedule planning.
• Ensure food safety priority and enforce sanitation; respond to emergencies and maintain a safe environment.
• Support local store marketing activities and promotions; monitor competitors and evolving customer demand.
• Perform under pressure in a high-volume environment; stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds; handle allergens.
