Job summary

Dairy Queen is seeking an experienced shift leader to run the store during scheduled shifts, assisting the General Manager with operations, inventory, labor, and customer service to deliver a positive Fan experience.

The role requires 1–3 years of leadership in high-volume restaurants, ServSafe certification, strong coaching skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of high-volume restaurant leadership experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Proven track record of effectively managing COGS and labor.
• Strong knowledge and application of safe food handling practices.
• Must be ServSafe certifiable

Responsibilities

• Manage entire operation of restaurant during scheduled shifts, aiming for quality, service and atmosphere.
• Train and coach shift leads and crew on PRIDE systems, recipes, food safety practices and safety procedures.
• Assist GM with executing the restaurant's business plan and monitoring P&L implications, inventory, and labor needs.
• Ensure Fan service standards and promptly address customer concerns to foster return visits.
• Hire, train and develop staff; review performance and maintain positive staff relations.
• Maintain health and safety standards and sanitation practices; manage waste and temperature logs.
• Contribute to local store marketing efforts and promotions.
• Perform duties under pressure, stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and handle allergens.
• Follow direction to achieve store goals and maintain a welcoming environment.
