Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes the store in the absence of store management, including systems start-ups and cash handling.
• Completes product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provides change at registers.
• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Greets customers and offers assistance with products and services to ensure a positive experience.
• Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure satisfaction.
• Models and shares customer service best practices with team members to deliver a top-notch experience.
• Holds store keys to open/close without management when needed.
• Coaches staff on warehouse and vendor ordering processes and backdoor deliveries.
• Registers all sales, notes scanning errors, price verifications, and voids.
• Reviews order exceptions and assists in reverse logistics like returns and packaging.
• Assists with displays and merchandising, completes resets and revisions.
• Maintains accurate inventory counts across departments, stockroom, and overstock areas.
• Ensures Outdate program adherence and pricing tasks.
• Handles basic bookkeeping tasks like cash reports and ledgers as needed.
• Maintains clean, neat store appearance and requests repairs when needed.
• Separates food items and manages stock rotation; uses FIFO.
• Keeps working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
• Supports Pharmacy out window as requested.
• Ensures compliance with state/local regulations on regulated products.
• Performs bag checks for team members on departure.
• Follows company policies and maintains respectful coworker relations.
• Completes special assignments and other tasks as requested.
