Job summary

Dairy Queen Grill and Chill is seeking a Shift Manager to lead daily restaurant operations with a focus on fan-first service and team supervision. You will greet guests, manage shift performance, and ensure fast, quality service in a high-volume setting.

As a Shift Manager, you will coach employees, assist the GM and AMs with training, and maintain a clean, organized, safe environment for fans and staff while upholding Dairy Queen’s service standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ months of high-volume quick service restaurant experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Capable of supervising specific areas of the business in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge and application of safe food handling practices.
• Must be ServSafe certifiable.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Able to stand for long shifts and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Maintain a positive attitude and teamwork at all times.

Responsibilities

• Be an ambassador of the Dairy Queen brand and act professionally.
• Greet and welcome fans to the Dairy Queen brand.
• Exceed fan expectations with timely, quality service.
• Assist in managing restaurant areas during shifts.
• Pace crew to high performance and resolve bottlenecks.
• Coach crew members and assist GM/AMs with training.
• Ensure the restaurant is organized and staffed.
• Create a safe, clean, inviting environment for fans and staff.
• Resolve fan concerns per service standards.
• Collaborate with management and team members as a cooperative unit.
• Model performance standards and exhibit passion for excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
