Job summary

Blank Street, Inc. is seeking a Shift Lead to guide front‑of‑house operations, exemplify hospitality, and coach a small team in a fast-paced cafe environment.

You will craft high‑quality coffee and matcha, ensure consistency with recipes, and model customer‑first service during peak hours. This role requires leadership experience, weekend availability, and compliance with U.S. work authorization. We offer paid time off, sick time, holiday pay, free coffee, and Blank Street swag.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in a customer service leadership position (e.g. Shift Leader, Shift Supervisor, Key Holder), preferably in hospitality, coffee, or beverage.
• 18+ years of age
• Able to lift 25+ lbs, and to stand for long periods of time.
• Availability that meets the needs of our cafes: Full Time 30-40 hours per week, 4-5 days, with 2 peak days (Fri–Sun); weekend/holidays preferred.
• You must be authorized to work in the U.S. (I-9/E-Verify)

Responsibilities

• Craft beautiful coffee and matcha products
• Provide exceptional hospitality to Blank Street customers
• Support your GM and train new employees to succeed, ensuring recipes and processes are followed
• Open and close the store safely and responsibly, following checklists
• Handle and resolve customer issues
• Lead and support initiatives to increase foot traffic, new customers, daily sales, and profitability
