Job summary

Blank Street, Inc. is looking for a hands-on Shift Lead to manage daily operations, lead a small team, and ensure top-notch hospitality.

The role focuses on crafting quality coffee and matcha, delivering a welcoming customer experience, and training new team members to uphold standard recipes and processes. The position is full-time (30–40 hours/week) with 4–5 days and a few peak days; candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States and able to work in fast-paced cafe

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in a customer service leadership role (e.g. Shift Leader, Shift Supervisor, Key Holder) in hospitality, coffee, or beverage.
• 18+ years of age.
• Able to lift 25+ lbs and to stand for long periods.
• Full Time: 30-40 hours per week, 4-5 days, with 2 peak days (Fri–Sun).
• Authorized to work in the U.S. with Form I-9 and E-Verify.

Responsibilities

• Craft beautiful coffee and matcha products.
• Provide exceptional hospitality to Blank Street customers.
• Support GM and train new employees to follow recipes and store processes.
• Open and close the store safely and according to checklists.
• Handle and solve customer issues that occur.

You'll lead by example on the floor, ensure smooth operations during your shift, and create an environment where both customers and team members feel valued. What You'll Own

• Craft beautiful coffee and matcha products
• Provide exceptional hospitality to Blank Street customers
• Support your GM and help train new employees to succeed at Blank Street, including ensuring that new team members are following all recipe on the menu and operational processes in the store
• Open and close the the store safely and responsibly ensuring that all checklists are followed
• Handle and solve customer issues that occur
• Leads and support initiatives at the store level that increase foot traffic, new customers, daily sales, and operational profitability

Requirements

• 2+ years' experience in a customer service leadership position (e.g. Shift Leader Shift Supervisor, Key Holder), preferably in hospitality, coffee, or beverage
• 18+ years of age
• Able to lift 25+ lbs, and to stand for long periods of time
• Availability that meets the needs of our cafes
• Full Time: 30-40 hours per week, 4-5 days per week and must be able to work 2 peak days (peak days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• Weekend and holiday availability preferred
• You must be authorized to work in the U.S.: upon acceptance of a job offer and completion of the Form I-9 with acceptable documents, Blank Street will provide the federal government with employees' Form I-9 information to confirm authorization to work in the U.S. (a process known as "E-Verify")
