Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a dependable team member to help run daily store operations when management is not present. You will open/close the store, handle cash, process refunds, and ensure the floor and stockroom are ready for business.

You will greet customers, provide assistance, and uphold Walgreens service standards to deliver an exceptional shopper experience. The role also involves inventory checks, pricing updates, merchandising, and basic bookkeeping tasks.

Qualifications

• 1 year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Preference for knowledge of store inventory control.
• Obtains and maintains PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes the store in the absence of store management, initiating required systems start-ups and cash handling.
• Completes product returns, refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provides change to cash registers.
• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engages customers and patients, greets them, and assists with products and services to ensure a positive experience.
• Follows store policies for inventory, pricing signage, and displays; assists with merchandising and stock counts.
• Registers sales accurately, records scanning errors, price verifications, and voids; monitors order exceptions and returns.
• Maintains store cleanliness and maintenance, handles backroom and stockroom organization, and oversees basic department pricing.
• Assists with bookkeeping activities, cash reports, ledgers, and bill payments as needed.
