Job summary

Blue Bottle Coffee is seeking a Shift Lead to guide the cafe team in delivering exceptional hospitality and beverage experiences while maintaining standards. You will help place the right people in the right roles and support the team across front- and back-of-house operations.

The role emphasizes training, adherence to safety guidelines, and ongoing coaching to elevate quality, speed, and guest satisfaction on each shift.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of supervisory experience or experience leading a team.
• Completed Blue Bottle Barista training and validation program or will complete within 90 days post-hire.
• Existing Food Safety Certification required for the state you will be working in or obtained within 30 days post-hire.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Be a role model for the team and set high standards.
• Lead shift to ensure exceptional hospitality and beverage/food quality.
• Train new hires and current staff on offerings.
• Ensure cafe operations run smoothly and safety guidelines are followed.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback to improve workflow and service.
