Job summary

Murphy USA Inc. is hiring part-time Shift Leads to join our Alabama stores. You will deliver prompt, courteous service, assist customers with purchases and fuel, operate the cash register, and support the Store Manager in daily operations.

This role offers daily pay and opportunities for advancement within a diverse, people-first culture. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, at least 3 months cashier experience, a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 months of cashier-related experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Age requirements vary by state (e.g., 18+ general; higher ages in some states).

Responsibilities

• Providing prompt, efficient, and courteous customer experience
• Responding to and resolving customers' requests and concerns
• Assisting customers with purchases and fuel transactions
• Operating cash register
• Ensure fuel and merchandise is available for customers
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Supporting the Store Manager in all store operations
• Helping lead the team to exceed the store's performance goals and objectives
• Performing job related duties as assigned
• In the absence of management provide backup duties including but not limited to completing daily/monthly paperwork, resolving problems, reviewing daily video, plan-o-gram compliance, inventory ordering, product count and equipment maintenance and training new employees
