Job summary

Walgreens in Oceanside, CA seeks a dedicated retail teammate to open and close the store in the manager's absence, handle cash, process returns, refunds, and assist customers with questions and product choices.

You will model exceptional service, help manage back-room processes, and support inventory, pricing, and displays while ensuring compliance with store policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Obtains and maintains valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes the store in the absence of store management, including systems start-ups and cash handling.
• Completes product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provides change to registers.
• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolves customer issues to ensure a positive experience and shares best practices with team.
• Holds store keys to open/close without management when needed and assists with deliveries.
• Registers all sales and documents scanning errors, price verifications, and voids.
• Assist manager in reviewing order exceptions and reverse logistics.
• Assist in displaying and restocking, including pricing and signage per regulations.
• Assist with bookkeeping activities and maintain store appearance and order.
• Assist with inventory accuracy and stock rotations, including raw vs. prepared foods safety.
