Job summary

Walgreens in Indiana is seeking a store associate with leadership experience to help open/close the store, manage cash handling, and ensure the floor and stock room are ready for the business day.

You will engage customers, resolve issues, and model best practices for service excellence while supporting inventory control, pricing, and basic store maintenance under minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder experience.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store in the absence of management, including cash handling and system start-ups.
• Process returns, order voids, refunds, cash drops, and provide change to registers.
• Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Greet customers and assist with products and services; resolve issues to ensure positive experience.
• Share customer service best practices with team members.
• Hold store keys to open/close without management and assist with vendor deliveries.
• Record sales on cash registers, including scanning errors and price verifications.
• Review order exceptions and assist with reverse logistics.
• Assist with displays, resets, and pricing; ensure compliance with signage and local regulations.
• Maintain accurate inventory and stockroom counts, and monitor overstock locations.
• Follow the Outdate program with the team; support basic bookkeeping tasks when needed.
• Maintain store cleanliness and request repairs as needed in manager's absence.
• Assist with food separation and stock rotation; apply FIFO.
