Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a store associate responsible for opening and closing the store in management's absence, handling cash, and preparing the floor and stockroom for the day. You will assist with vendor deliveries, manage returns and refunds, and ensure accurate sales recording and pricing compliance.

You will model an outstanding customer experience, greet shoppers, answer questions, and share service best practices with teammates to maintain Walgreens' distinctive standards.

Qualifications

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store in the absence of management, including cash handling and ensuring readiness for the business day.
• Complete returns, order voids, refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change to registers.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Greet customers, assist with products and services, and resolve issues to ensure positive experiences.
• Share customer service best practices with team members to maintain Walgreens service traits.
• Hold store keys and open/close without management when needed.
• Assist with vendor deliveries and backroom access; open backdoor for deliveries.
• Register all sales accurately, document scanning errors, price checks, and voids.
• Review order exceptions and assist with reverse logistics as needed.
• Develop displays and manage resets and revisions for promotions.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts across departments and stockroom.
• Follow the Outdate program with the team and adjust pricing/signage.
• Assist with bookkeeping tasks and maintenance of store appearance.
• Ensure compliance with laws on regulated products and carry out bag checks.
• Communicate tasks between management and staff when management is absent.
