Job summary

Walgreens in Greensboro, NC is seeking a store operations associate to open and close the store in the absence of management, perform required system start-ups, handle cash, and ensure the floor and stock room are ready for the business day. You will also assist with backdoor deliveries and basic bookkeeping, while delivering a distinctive customer experience.

Qualifications

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Obtains and maintains valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes the store in the absence of store management, including systems start-ups, cash handling, and preparing floor/stock room for business.
• Completes product returns, refunds, cash drops, and provides change to cash registers.
• Delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engages customers, resolves issues, and answers questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Models customer service best practices and maintains store standards and service traits.
• Holds store keys, oversees vendor deliveries, and assists with ordering processes.
• Registers sales, tracks price verifications, and handles price changes and voids.
• Maintains inventory accuracy, displays, promotions, and department pricing in compliance with policies.
• Performs basic bookkeeping, cash counts, and ledger tasks as requested.
