Job summary

Walgreens in California is seeking a store team member to support opening and closing procedures, handle cash and system start-ups, and ensure the floor and stock room are ready for the day. You will engage customers, resolve issues, and model service excellence to deliver a distinctive experience.

The role includes inventory maintenance, pricing, displays, and basic store upkeep, with opportunities to participate in training and cross-team collaboration. This is an on-site, full-time position.

Qualifications

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store in the absence of management, handling cash and system starts.
• Ensure floor and stock room are ready for the business day.
• Open back door of store for deliveries.
• Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to cash registers.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolve customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Maintains basic department pricing and ensure signage and local regulation compliance.
• Responsible for bag checks of team members before leaving the store.
• Assist manager or assistant store manager in inventory, displays, pricing, and related tasks.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and on-hand quantities.
• Assist with exterior and interior maintenance and cleanliness of the store.
• Assist at Pharmacy out window as requested.
• Communications: liaison between management and non-management team members when store management is not present.
• Training & Personal Development: attends training and completes PPLs requested by Manager.
