Job summary

Peet’s Coffee in Laguna Niguel, CA is seeking a Shift Lead to supervise daily operations, lead shifts, and ensure superb service. This role requires leadership in a fast-paced cafe, strong cash handling, and a focus on quality coffee and guest experience.

You will mentor team members, manage opening/closing tasks, and help maintain a welcoming, clean store while supporting store goals and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum experience in a leadership role or directing others.
• 1 year experience with POS/cash handling.
• Availability of at least three days per week including early mornings/evenings/weekends/holidays.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be 18 years of age or older and able to perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts with focus and clarity by managing task deployment and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in a fast-paced environment.
• Deliver exceptional customer experiences by modeling genuine engagement, high product quality, and friendly service with a clean, welcoming coffeebar.
• Support a positive team environment through clear communication, collaboration, accountability and reliability.
• Ensure operational excellence by handling opening/closing routines, cash handling, inventory tasks, and visual updates during shifts.
• Embrace learning and change by developing skills and adapting to priorities to keep shifts running smoothly.
