Job summary

Peet’s Coffee in San Jose, CA is seeking a Shift Lead to manage daily operations and lead shifts with focus and clarity in a fast-paced setting.

You will deliver exceptional customer experiences, model engagement and craft, and maintain a clean, welcoming coffeebar while supporting the team and handling cash and inventory tasks. Growth opportunities and a strong benefits package are available.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in a leadership role and/or directing the work of others.
• 1 year experience with POS/cash handling responsibilities in related industry.
• Shift Leads must be available at least three days per week to meet business needs.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the country where the job is located.
• Must comply with Peet's Employment of Minors policies and work with minors.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts with focus and clarity by managing task deployment and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in a fast-paced environment.
• Deliver exceptional customer experiences by modeling genuine engagement, high product quality, and friendly service while keeping the coffeebar welcoming.
• Support a positive team environment through clear communication, collaboration, and accountability.
• Ensure operational excellence by handling opening/closing routines, cash handling, and inventory tasks.
• Embrace learning and change by adapting to priorities and using sound judgment to keep shifts running smoothly.
